David John Walls Transport CPC Holder 26th April 2007 Road Passenger Transport Management Services is a new concept that enables me to Freelance my services, in the North East of England only, as a Transport Manager, having worked in the Transport Industry since November 1987.
All of the above probably do not employ a full-time Transport Manager because legislation does not require the services of a Transport Manager under an Act of Parliament. On 6th April 2008, Corporate Manslaughter & Corporate Homicide Act 2007 comes into force with the new offence "relevant duty of care" to the deceased. Understanding the offence An organisation will be guilty of the new offence if the way in which its activities are managed or organised causes a death and amounts to a gross breach of a duty of care to the deceased. For this reason I have decided to offer my services to any organisation that provides road passenger transport to passengers, who when reflecting upon the new Act, feel they may need the services of a CPC Holder for the transport side of Health & Safety issues relating to:
I wish to clarify: that I will not be carrying out Risk Assessments for the organisations buildings as I am sure that Directors have taken on that responsibility for their company and they have already carried that out, or have employed a full-time Health & Safety person for those undertakings. Transport records are my field of expertise to comply with VOSA Regulations and the Regional Traffic Commissioner or Local Council Commissioners Conditions of Licensing. From 6th April 2008 you need to be compliant with the new relevant duty of care for your vehicles and drivers safeguarding the passenger(s) health and safety whilst your company transports them. If you need any further information about my services and charges please use the contact form here.
